01Essential storage keeps choices and requested chat separate from advertising.
Three categories do different work.
Cookies are small records a browser can store and send with requests. Local storage keeps information in the browser without being a cookie. A click identifier in a URL is different again. This notice covers those mechanisms together so that a browser choice is not confused with deletion of information already submitted.
Strictly necessary storage
The consent preference records whether you allow or decline advertising and analytics storage. It is stored under site_consent_v2, and nothing else on this site persists a consent choice. Remembering a refusal is part of respecting it; we do not require advertising permission to save that refusal.
Support chat also uses essential local storage for continuity after you request a conversation. A token reconnects the browser to that conversation. This is not an advertising identifier. Clearing it can stop that browser from returning to the same chat, even though the transcript remains subject to its separate retention period.
Analytics storage
Analytics storage supports measurement of visits and use of the website. It is optional. analytics_storage remains denied until you allow storage and returns to denied if you decline or withdraw. The ability to read an industrial R&D consulting page does not depend on enabling analytics storage.
Advertising storage
Advertising storage supports attribution of advertising clicks and related measurement. Advertising data and personalization consent have their own signals within Consent Mode v2. The Allow storage action governs the four signals together on this site; the footer provides the route to reverse that choice.
A message checkbox is not a cookie choice. Consent to process an inquiry or chat lets us handle that message. It does not turn on optional advertising or analytics storage.
02The storage record and a click in a URL have different lifetimes.
Named keys and identifiers used by this site.
The table distinguishes a browser storage key from a URL parameter. It does not label every identifier a cookie. In particular, the arrival of a paid click can be recorded in a server request without first saving an advertising cookie in the visitor's browser.

An identifier captured with a submitted referring URL belongs to that inquiry record. Enquiries and their email copies are retained for 18 months, rather than under the access-log period. Platform-side retention is governed by the platform's own policy.
Browser storage is not the full record.
Removing a browser key does not recall an email notification or erase an inquiry in the database. It also does not remove a URL from a platform's records. For information Wexumi already holds, use the data request route. You can ask about a specific storage item without sending its value.
Advertising and analytics storage depends on your choice and the platform's processing. Provider-controlled names and expiry settings are not interchangeable with the Wexumi consent record above. The platform policies linked below explain their cookies and related technologies; ask us if an item visible in your browser needs clarification.
03Paid advertising links can carry identifiers before you make a storage choice.
Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and Meta Ads send traffic here.
Google Ads uses gclid. Microsoft Advertising uses msclkid. Meta Ads uses fbclid. These click identifiers can be attached to the link that brings you to wexumi.com. They support the connection between an advertisement and the resulting visit.
Wexumi advertises industrial innovation consulting and related services. Attribution helps distinguish an advertising visit from another referral. The existence of an identifier does not mean that a visitor has agreed to advertising storage, and arriving from an advertisement is not itself consent.
A landing request reaches the server before a visitor can interact with a banner on that page. Declining therefore does not mean that the click identifier never reaches the server. The browser can also keep the URL in its history. Neither event should be confused with permission to create optional advertising storage.
Share the page, not the tracking string. When asking about an advertisement, a page address and the identifier's name are enough to start. Do not post the full identifier, private query text or someone else's referral link into support chat.

04Consent Mode v2 starts with four denied signals and returns to denied on withdrawal.
The consent mode signals are explicit.
Consent Mode v2 holds ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage denied until the visitor allows storage. When the visitor declines or withdraws, all four return to denied immediately. On later pages, the site honors the stored choice rather than treating navigation as new permission.

The signal names describe permissions, not a guarantee that every permitted operation happens on every page. Selecting Allow storage changes the consent state; selecting Decline or withdrawing changes it back. It does not purchase a service or authorize a consulting engagement.
Denied is not the same as disconnected.
Consent signals and limited measurement requests can still travel over the network in a denied state. A website request also has to reach the host for a page to load. We do not describe a denial as a promise that no tag loads, no request is made or no technical information reaches a recipient.
The legal-bases table explains why necessary site operations and a requested inquiry are handled separately from optional storage. Essential preference storage remains available to remember a decline.
05You can allow or decline storage, then change the decision in the footer.
The same control is available after the first visit.
The cookie banner offers Decline and Allow storage. Neither reading a page nor continuing to browse counts as allowing storage. Both actions are reachable without agreeing to another setting, and the banner does not block access to the website.
- Choose Allow storage to allow the advertising and analytics consent states described in this notice.
- Choose Decline to keep all four states denied.
- To revisit an earlier decision, use Cookie choices in the legal row at the bottom of any page.
- To withdraw, open that control and choose Decline. The four denied signals are sent immediately.
Your browser choice is recorded under site_consent_v2 for 12 months. The site does not persist the decision under another key. Clearing this record removes the remembered choice; it is not a request to delete a submitted inquiry.
Global Privacy Control has its own route.
Global Privacy Control, including the Sec-GPC header, is honored as an opt-out without asking again. You do not need to submit a form to repeat that browser signal. It supports applicable rights to opt out of sale or sharing and targeted advertising.
Preferences apply to the browser in use. A separate browser or device can hold a different record. Browser settings can also block or clear storage, which can remove a remembered preference or break chat continuity. If the control is unavailable or unusable, contact office@wexumi.com for help; absence of an Allow storage action does not grant permission.
06Declining leaves the pages and inquiry routes available.
You can contact Wexumi without allowing ad storage.
Declining keeps optional advertising and analytics storage denied. It does not hide the service descriptions, disable ordinary navigation or prevent you from sending an industrial R&D consulting inquiry. A requested chat uses its essential continuity token independently of optional advertising storage.
The consent record still remembers the decline. Technical requests still reach the hosting service, and the form handler still receives the information needed to handle a submitted message. Those operations are covered in the privacy policy's collection section, not disguised as advertising consent.
Withdrawal ends permission for the uses governed by those consent signals going forward. It does not automatically erase information lawfully processed before withdrawal, delete existing third-party records or clear every cookie already in the browser. Browser controls can remove stored items; platform privacy settings address platform records.
Use a data request for an existing record.
If your aim is to remove an inquiry or chat transcript, send a data request. A storage preference alone does not identify which past message belongs to you. We answer data requests within 14 days and may need a proportionate identity check before releasing or changing information.
Without JavaScript, ordinary links and server-handled inquiry forms remain the fallback routes. Enhanced controls and chat may not be available. You can always email office@wexumi.com or call +1 (832) 555-6719 rather than enabling optional storage to obtain a reply.
07The advertising platforms publish their own privacy and storage rules.
Read the policy of the recipient involved.
Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC provides Google Ads and receives the relevant consent signals. Google's policy explains its information handling and the choices available through its services. Its technology guidance gives further context on cookies.
Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd provides Microsoft Advertising. Microsoft's statement covers its own handling of advertising information, including choices associated with its services. The Wexumi consent record is not a substitute for a setting held by Microsoft.
Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd provides Meta Ads. Its privacy policy explains how information is used within Meta's services and how visitors can exercise choices there. Meta traffic to this site can carry fbclid.
These links lead away from wexumi.com. The recipients can have processing roles and retention rules separate from Wexumi's. Our privacy policy also identifies the hosting and mail provider roles in serving the site and handling an inquiry notification.
08Ask about an unfamiliar storage item without sending its private value.
A key name and the page are enough to start.
Contact Wexumi about a cookie, a browser storage record or a choice that does not seem to persist. Tell us the item name, the page where you saw it and whether you had selected Allow storage or Decline. Do not send a chat token, complete click identifier or a screenshot containing private browsing information.
